BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Career Options Africa Group, is an HR Consulting firm specializing in Recruitment, HR outsourcing, and Immigration support in Africa with offices in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and Burundi.

In order to enhance our market penetration and diversify our product offering, the Group seeks to fill the above position with a suitably qualified and competent business development professional with experience working in a well-established HR/Management consultancy firm.

THE JOB

The Business Development Officer is responsible for generating new business, ensuring portfolio growth, and retaining existing clients.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES;

  1. Setting goals and developing plans for business and revenue growth
  2. Prepare tenders and proposals for consultancy assignments in response to tenders or requests for proposals.
  3. Understand client needs and be able to tailor solutions to address them.
  4. Identify, target, and build new relationships with existing and potential clients for high client retention.
  5. Develop a credible pipeline of prospective clients and growth strategies for sustainable business growth.
  6. Analyze market trends to forecast demand, and plan and take advantage of potential opportunities.
  7. Carry out aggressive social media marketing activities to increase visibility and brand awareness
  8. Develop and implement branding and marketing materials.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

The job holder should have the following qualifications;

  1. Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a well-established HR/Management consultancy firm.
  3. Professional affiliation to a relevant professional body is an added advantage.
  4. Experience in SEO solutions is added advantage

THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THE JOB

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and competencies;

 

  1. Having an in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition
  2. Ability to recognize opportunities and formulate business deals.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power point).
  4. Great people skills, excellent business acumen, a self-driven and have an outstanding work ethics
  5. A very high level of professionalism, integrity, attention to detail and organization are essential for the role.
  6. Great communication and presentation skills.
  7. Ability to work flexibly and effectively under pressure
