Job Summary:  The Officer Capacity and Assets will be responsible for ensuring that there is sufficient IT capacity to meet current and future business demand, and that new and existing services deliver the levels of performance agreed with the business in service level agreements, and maintenance of an accurate database of Hardware and Software Assets.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Incorporate capacity requirements in new services to create services that are designed to meet the capacity needs of the business
  • Assesses any impact of capacity breaches on SLAs
  • Investigate any abnormal resource utilization.
  • Proactively monitor the infrastructure services and underlying resources adequately to detect capacity and performance issues
  • Apply analytic techniques to support the Capacity Planning Process and Optimization of Capacity Utilization across the environment.
  • Provides meaningful capacity utilization/trending reports for the purposes of operational and service planning
  • Reclamation of unused resources.
  • Contribute to the Budget planning, based on the Capacity Analysis.
  • Accountable for ensuring valid IT Hardware assets baseline for financial recovery model and ensure the fixed asset register (FAR) is accurate and reflects the IT Hardware assets in the field per user and business unit.
  • Accountable for generating and providing performance metrics on Hardware technology base in use.
  • Initiate the Insurance Claim process for damaged items.
  • Responsible for identifying and reporting Asset Management risks and issues and ensuring that such issues are resolved and reported to Risk management
  • Accountable for the Reverse Logistics process and ensure policies are implemented, tracked and reported, including data storage destruction.
  • Ensure that software asset information is up-to-date, accurate and auditable on a database.
  • Manage the software library.
  • Implement the Preventive Maintenance Plan.
  • Support the CMDB Maintenance.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate for the Stanbic Bank Officer Capacity and Assets job placement must hold a University graduate with a degree / diploma in Business, IT or a related subject
  • Two to three years of experience in a related field.
  • Process management
  • ITIL processes Knowledge including Capacity, change, incident and problem management, request fulfillment, Service asset and configuration management.
  • Including knowledge of standard business processes including work prioritization, best practices.
  • Including knowledge of the ISO 27002 Standard.
  • Knowledge of domestic and international banking industry
  • Including knowledge of the Bank’s business, products, key clients, business strategy and strategic issues
  • Including knowledge of regulatory requirements of home markets
